Lifeguard Training Program
Our Lifeguard Training Program is one of the best in the greater Houston area. Our lifeguards are trained with American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid every year!
Our Course Offerings:
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Training
- American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Training
- American Red Cross First Aid
Texas Pool Group’s lifeguards are also trained in:
- AED’s (automated external defibrillator) used to re-start a heart
- Oxygen tank with bag valve mask system
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid
- Rescues in and out of water
- Knowledge of EAP (Emergency Action Plan)
To maintain leading skills in aquatic safety, our lifeguards also participate in:
- A minimum of four (4) hours per month of in-service training
- State and local lifeguard skills competitions
- Random skills audits by supervisors
- Safety audits performed by qualified staff
